Ottawa Gee-Gees add Alex Ratte to Arsenal

Alex Ratte, the former Laurentian Voyageurs who was the third leading scorer in the CIS last season, will pursue his Master’s Degree in Human Kinetics with a concentration in sports management at the University of Ottawa for the 2014-15 season.

Ratte averaged 24.5 points last season, and will be eligible to play right away as he has graduated from Laurentian. Ratte will be looked upon to fill the void left by Terry Thomas who decided to forgo his final year at Ottawa in favour of pursuing a career at the next level.

This is a huge add for a program that won the OUA Championship last season, and made it to the CIS Championship game only to lose to Carleton 79-67.
